It's been months since either Tammy or I have heard from Maria. She was very busy with school and I suppose that school is still keeping her on her toes. It's now time to bid her a farewell and wish her well on her crafty journey! Maybe we will see her around on some other crafty sites in the future. Bye Maria!
Now the GGGals are a group of two. Will we stay this size or put out a call for new gals? Hmm...we just don't know at the moment so stay tuned! It has been difficult to plan events while we were scattered across the globe. With both of us now being in the USA and in the same time zone, it's easy to plan time together and that is a plus. On the down side, there are fewer people pooling their creativity. We'll make some decisions soon and let you all know what we decide to do. Until next time, have a fun and scrappy day!

Had a Blast at the Spring Crop
We had our spring crop on Friday and Saturday April 29 and 30. We all had a blast doing our live ustreams and making tons of great projects. Below I will show you the projects I made during the crop.
These are pictures of the mini album I made using the kit that Maria sent to us. I titled it "Spread Your Wings" It was tons of fun to make, this was my second envelope mini that I've made.

We also all made projects using the DCWV MARIAPOSA paper. Beautiful paper !!! I will admit that I was hoarding it up until these projects. I choose to alter a few items with these papers.

What my items looked like before the altering........

All altered up .........

After the end of my live ustream for these items, I held a drawing for a lucky viewer to win the altered balsa box and mini. Our winner was our lovely guest designer for the month of April Sue. Congrats Sue, this will be shipped to you soon.
For my final ustream, I made a SPRING banner using Tim Coffey papers and Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers that I twisted and layered. I also had a drawing for one lucky viewer to win a kit to make their own banner. The winner was Sharon, thanks for watching and your kit is on it's way to you.

Sue's DCWV Mariposa Project
Hey, have you heard about what we are planning at the GGGal spring crop? We will be showing you some paper projects using the Die Cut With A View Mariposa Stack. We will have our group project mini from a kit that Maria sent us as well as a dress form project and..... I have said too much already. For now, let's take a look as what Sue, our guest designer, created with the Mariposa stack. I'll be posting pictures of the rest of her book over the next few days. For now, here is the front cover and the first 3 pages.
Here is what she had to say about the project....
"I was pleased and very honored to be selected as a Featured Artist for the Glitzy Glamour Gals April crop! It was even better when I found out they were using the DCWV Mariposa Paper stack. I fell in love with the Mariposa paper from the moment I saw it! I actually received the 12X12 as a gift from my Sister. I also purchased it in the 8x8 size paper stack to give myself more options. However, I was afraid that this paper would end up like a lot of my favorites and become my “stash” of paper that would be hoarded for that “perfect” project. When I found out that the GGGals were doing a collaborative theme of projects using this paper I was elated! I decided that this was going to be my perfect project.! After deciding on a long mini envelope album and what I wanted to do I thought what better Title than “Love Letters”. I intend to use this to hold love letters I have sent to my husband and received from husband and love of my life, Mikel."

Gearing up for the Spring Crop
Hello everyone! We have been busy preparing for the spring crop and I have some wonderful news! This month we have asked Sue Hornsby to be our guest Glitzy Glamour Gal and she gladly agreed to work with us. I asked Sue to give us an introduction. So here is what she has to say about herself.......
"I am a 49 year old mother of 3; Cassie 27, Amanda 24 and Alex 11. I am step-mother to 4; Jamie 26, Justin 25, Callie 22 and Matthew 16. Crafting has always been a passion of mine and when my daughters were younger I did craft shows all over our Tri-State area. My hobbies include crocheting, sewing, flowers, scrapbooking and mini albums. I discovered the world of mini albums about a year ago and love them! They are so addictive! I have been scrapbooking since October 2004 but with 7 kids between my husband and myself I have a lot of scrapbooking to catch up on! Scrapbooking is such a great love and passion and something I share with both my sisters Donna and Sandy. It really started with them…Donna introduced Sandy to it then Sandy got me hooked…but what an addiction! lol"

Well Sue, I am glad that the chain reaction occurred! I also want to thank Sue for her introduction and let you all know where you can find her in cyber space. Check her out here on her blog and here on You tube.
I will be back soon to show you a project that Sue created and also give you some hints about the upcoming crop! Until then, keep on scrappin'!
